Types Of Things Included
Collect a list of past customer names and email addresses and send an email blast requesting feedback (using Email Marketing 360®)
Do you send customers invoices or receipts? Do customers visit a website confirmation page after they purchase products or services? Is there anything else you send customers consistently on an automated basis via a CRM or other method? If so, these are great opportunities to ask for ratings/reviews! We’d simply edit your templates to include a section that kindly asks your customers for feedback. By doing this, you will find that you’d start to generate ratings/reviews and feedback to help improve your business and overall
Reputation / Rating Score™ consistently and effortlessly in an automated and scale-able way.
Work face-to-face with clients? We can help you setup an in-store Kiosk at your front desk so customers can leave reviews/ratings as they leave via a tablet or mobile device. Or, help any reps in the field ask customers to rate/review them real-time via their tablet or mobile device after they complete service.
We can read and reply to all reviews (unless you prefer to do this), even if it’s just to say thanks! This shows you care about your customers and their feedback and also helps build more content on your profile pages so they rank highly in search (such as on Google and Google Maps).
If a customer leaves a rating of 3 stars or less on Top Rated Local® we require they provide feedback as to what you could have done better to improve their experience. We’d then pass along that feedback to you to help you improve your business moving forward. In some cases, with this feedback, you will actually be able to reach back out to their customer and win them back over. If you do, we can make sure to request a Re-Rating from the customer via Top Rated Local®! When we do this, the customer will be sent a link to edit and improve their rating (most review sites do not provide this functionality).
If you suspect a rating/review left on Top Rated Local® was not left by a real customer, we’ll make sure to Challenge Verification on the review. When we do this, the rating/review is removed from Top Rated Local® until the reviewer can provide proof they did in fact do business with you. If they can not, or they do not respond, their rating/review will remain removed. We can also request removal from other 3rd party review sites such as Google My Business if at all possible.
The Typical Process
Once signed up, we get things started with a Kickoff call from your dedicated Reputation Manager. The goal of this call is to learn more about your business, reputation goals and talk through the overall process and strategy.

More Information About Online Reputation & Why It’s Important
You Wake-Up One Morning to Find Your Reputation Trashed…
Here is an unsettling scenario: You start your day with a search on your business name.
Review websites spring up, and as you read through you realize that your online reputation is being slung into the sewer.
And we’re not talking about legitimate reviews with constructive criticism. We’re talking about outrageous accusations that qualify as slander. Someone with a vendetta or vested interest in damaging your reputation is making you sound as competent as Homer Simpson.
Or maybe you see a customer you did work with. A hot-head who you wished you’d never met, or a sourpuss who wouldn’t be happy winning the Powerball.
And all this is on page one of search.
Whether they are true or not, these reviews can do serious damage.
Review Websites That Favor Reviewers
Up to now, one of the major issues with review sites is that business owners have no control about what’s being said. Thoughtful reviews with fair criticism would be one thing, but unfortunately what abounds are ridiculous rants and people who are leverage the internet to intentionally damage a company’s reputation, including competitors and disgruntled ex-employees.
These are off-the-wall remarks made with no consideration about developing a legitimate point–the rantings of a guy at a bar. Or they are lies from anonymous voices.
And they sit there for all to see.
Reputation Software That Gives You Some Control
Top Rated Local® gives you more control over review comments than any other 3rd party review sites. It was design to:
Give business owners the ability to hide outrageous rants and libelous, unverified reviews
Ensure all reviews come from verified customers
Create a rating system based on specific criteria, such as quality, timeliness, and satisfaction
Optimize the review profile so it ranks on searches for the business name
If you have low ratings, they will be displayed, but you have 30 days to work with the customer to rectify the problem and get the rating changed.
Online reviews should be
useful for consumers and
helpful to businesses–a legit bad review is a chance to improve your service.
But for this happen, the review forum needs to be
fair and professional. This is what Top Rated Local® offers.
Control Your Online Reputation or It Will Control You
Statistics show that nearly of half of people looking for a local service make their decision after reading a positive review online. Likewise, negative reviews can derail the process turn leads instantly cold. Stats show that nearly 60% of contracting leads will no longer consider a business after seeing a negative review.
When it comes to online reviews, the best thing you can do is earn great ones. Reviews that speak of your professionalism, fair pricing, timeliness, and quality of work can do nothing but help.
Because for the most part you have little control over your online reviews. The grumblings of an unhappy customer are one thing; most businesses get an occasional negative review and it’s not the end of the world.
What’s frustrating is the risk that outlandish rants and even false reviews create. Some people are impossible to please despite the best of service, and competitors, ex-employees, and other anonymous reviewers can cause a lot of damage–and you don’t even know who they were.
Giving you as the business owner some control over review comments is at the core of Top Rated Local®
The Pillars of Service
There are several advantages to Top Rated Local® over other review sites:
Avoid general review and ratings. A review in which the best detail is “they sucked” is not a useful for anyone. Neither, really is a 5 star rating with no detail on why the business got that rating. With Top Rated Local®, you are rated on specific areas of service including timeliness, quality of work, value, and satisfaction.
Reviews must be verified as coming from actual customers. No anonymous reviews.
You can approve/disapprove comments. While the star ratings must be shown, you can choose not display some comments. This useful in the case of slanderous, false reviews that may be used to blackmail you for a refund. Also, you don’t have to display ludicrous rants from individuals who’s problems with you are the least of their problems.
The Top Rated Local® platform will also rank for organic search, so when people do a search for your business name plus “reviews” the reviews you have control over will be at the top.
For a local service like a contractor, reviews constitute important online content. About your business.
Take a measure of control so this content accurately represents the quality of your work. Anything less is unfair to you.
